CONTAINER Trading
20 Ft Container
A 20ft dry container is used for - as the name suggests - transport of dry cargo. A 20-foot container measures 5.90 metres in length, 2.35 metres in width and 2.39 metres in height.
40 Ft
A standard 40ft shipping container has a length of 40ft (12.2 meters), a width of 8ft (2.44 meters), and a height of 8.5ft (2.59 meters). The interior dimensions of a 40ft container are slightly smaller, with a length of 39.5ft (12.03 meters), a width of 7.7ft (2.35 meters), and a height of 7.9ft (2.39 meters).
Open Top
Open top containers have an open top covered by a tarpaulin instead of a solid roof. This enables oversized cargo such as timber and scrap metal to be loaded from the top. Open top containers normally also have end doors, like closed containers, to give flexibility for loading and unloading.
Double Door
Double door containers, or tunnel containers have doors that open on both ends. These are useful for loading when space is tight and you need access to the container if they are stacked together. Doors are lockable on both ends.
Open Side
A side opening container or open side container is a shipping container that, in addition to the regular, lockable double doors located on one end, includes an additional pair of bi-fold doors on one of the longer sides. The bi-fold function of the side doors allows for two opening sizes.
ISO Tank
An ISO Tank is a container built upon the standards of ISO (International Organization for Standardisation) to carry bulk liquids. It is meant to transfer both hazardous and non-hazardous fluids at distant places. ISO Tank Containers are made up of stainless steel and are strengthened with various protective layers.
